

Topography of Desire: the mapping of queer sites in Bangkok (2000/2003)
The ever-changing gay landscape in urban spaces:
Homosexual spaces have long been confined within the private spaces (the dark, the rim space of the society) in various forms such as in the realm of leisure places, for instances, the exclusive bar, club, and sauna. However they have now expanded to a more public places (the light, the center stage) of which used to signify and function within the dominant ideology such as parks which now a well-known cruising area (in Thai case besides function as a space of leisure, parks had once signify the modernisation for Thailand, the attempt to be perceived as civilisation country along side the Western countries.), and film theatres.
