Future Project and Time Frame:

From March 2004 onwards: Presenting the progress at PhD seminar and prepare for 2004 projects in Bangkok and Malmo.

May 2004: Presenting the progress at PhD seminar.

August 2004: An art project and a seminar in Bangkok with a collaboration of Faculty of Communication Arts, Chulalongkorn University. There will be an art exhibition based on the lak-ka-pid-lak-ka-perd theme as well as the seminars. I will be asking the artists to translate, to interpret, to capture, to play, to construct and deconstruct around the term and the concept of lak-ka-pid-lak-ka-perd and how it relates to everyday life (including my own interpretation which will also include in the exhibition). It is particularly important time to rethink how spaces of Bangkok have been transformed, manipulated, and struggled and what kind of opportunity and lost provide the individual to perhaps re-invent him/herself while Bangkok is on the verge of remapping with the government's plan to move away slums and other unwanted subjects from the center of Bangkok where capitalism and globalisation take over with full power as well as with the increase number of foreigners living in diaspora. November 2004: A film forum and a seminar based on the research theme, inviting Asian film academics to participate. The seminars will related to the space and time in visual representation particularly cinematic representation. The event will take place in Malmo. (proposal)

From December 2004 onwards: Writing up the final thesis and rewrite the chapters that have already been done.
